About

Passions are hard to explain… Where do they come from? Why do they take over our thoughts? What are we to do about them?

All questions I couldn’t possibly answer.

For me, Denmark has been an obsession for quite a while now… Pretty much everything associated with Denmark gets my interest, and I’ve been longing to travel to Denmark for years. I even try to learn the language, which is not a clear success as of today, but practice makes perfect, and I am working hard on it.

Some bad lucks have kept me from planning a trip the past few years… But I don’t hold a grudge against life for that. The timing wasn’t right then, and that’s fine with me! But at the beginning of 2016, the stars got aligned, and I had the great pleasure to plan my very first trip to Vikingland…

I decided to build up this blog to give family, friends and passers by a chance to follow me along my trip. I tried to sit down every evening to leave a little rΓ©sumΓ© of my day, to share pictures and thoughts along the way, but Denmark’s long days, and my enthusiam had me basically crash on my bed pretty much every night.

I was away from Canada, and enjoying Denmark, for three weeks, on my own, just me, my backpack and DK… Now home, I am going to revamp the posts I published while abroad, and finish the 10 days left of my trip. You are welcome to come with me, and comment as I move from one place to another!

I am blogging in English although French is my mother tongue, for practical reasons… Most, if not all of my family and friends here in Canada understand English. But my friends in Denmark are not fluent in French, and I’d like them to be able to follow me as well. I am also thinking about the strangers who might pass by and learn a little bit about Denmark, and maybe even get interested in it.

So… Come along if you feel like it! And leave me a little note if you enjoy the ride πŸ™‚

  1. I’m so glad I stumbled on your blog because I’ve been curious about Denmark myself, even more so since I have a friend who currently lives there. I’m looking forward to finding out even more about this country πŸ˜€

By the way, in which area does your friend live?
